The Simms Volunteer Fire Department has broken ground on a new fire station located conveniently in the middle of their coverage area.

Fire Department Chief Newt Montgomery said, “Our old station, located behind the James Bowie High School Agriculture Science Barn, has served its purpose but is starting to show its age.”
