Former New Boston Volunteer Fire Department Battalion Chief Ron Clark turned himself in to the authorities on Monday to answer a warrant for his arrest that was issued on July 11 by Justice of the Peace Susie Spellings.
Clark was wanted on a charge of Debit or Credit Card Abuse stemming from allegations that he used a NBVFD credit card to steal over $13,000 from the department over a period of several years.
According to the Probable Cause Affidavit filed by local law enforcement, Clark allegedly used a Fuelman card illegally from January 1, 2017 through May 27, 2019, with purchases at various locations around Bowie County, and outside of the county, and the state. Charges on the card include locations in Ridgedale, Missouri, and Russelville, Arkansas that coincide with a trip Clark took to Branson, Missouri. Other charges were made in Cleveland, Texas and Beaumont, Texas related to a trip that Clark took to Galveston.
