New Boston Police Department announces NRA grant

The New Boston Police Department announces that it was awarded a NRA Foundation grant award for the purchase of an Eddie Eagle costume, and would like to express its gratitude to the NRA's Eddie Eagle Gun Safe Program and to the NRA Foundation for their support.

 The cost of the costume was $2,800 and it will be used to help teach New Boston ISD students in grades Pre-K through 4th the Eddie Eagle Gun Safe Program.

The New Boston Police Department began teaching the Eddie Eagle Gun Safe Program this school year to all students in the NBISD in grades Pre-K through 4th grade. The NRA has approved all training materials and supplies to the New Boston PD at no charge in order to help teach young children what to do if they come across a gun.
