Road Ranger to build travel center in New Boston

Road Ranger to build travel center in New Boston

A Rockford, Illinois-based company closed Friday on the sale of a tract of land just north of I-30 in New Boston, with plans to begin construction soon on a multi-million dollar travel stop.  Road Ranger, LLC currently owns over 40 travel stops reaching from South Texas all the way north to the Chicago area.  Their newest purchase of 12 acres on Highway 8 just north of Valero in New Boston will soon be the home of a Road Ranger travel stop and major franchise restaurant.  The facility is expected to employee as many as 50 full and part-time employees, with an annual payroll upwards of $750,000.  Watch for the release of specific plans, additional details, and the name of the restaurant, expected to be made available to the Tribune within the next couple of weeks.
