Another impactful coach is becoming a De Kalb Bears this year. Coaching football, powerlifting and baseball, Trevor Burchett brings to the table lots of experience in building powerful and strong athletes in his previous roles across the state.
After graduating from Texas A&M University, Burchett took a position as strength and conditioning coach in his hometown at Big Spring ISD. From there Burchett has spent the last four years as an athletic coordinator at Magnolia ISD.
“Before I started teaching I was a strength and conditioning coach at the Recreational Center at Texas A&M University”, said Burchett. “I got super big into personal training and I was actually a group fitness instructor for Camp Gladiator for about a year and a half.” “I took that knowledge into my first year coaching at Big Spring, and then in my first year at Magnolia, I became a strength and conditioning coach.”
