New Boston Lion turned NCAA Division 1 college athlete Kyle Atkinson has focused on growing as a baseball player since moving to San Marcos.
Through his career as a Lion, Atkinson produced some impressive statistics and earned some heavy titles. In 2021, as a senior Atkinson batted .394 while hitting six doubles, three triples and two home runs. The same season he was named the District 14-3A Offensive Player of the Year and the 53rd best outfielder in the state of Texas by Perfect Game.
Atkinson received and accepted an offer to play baseball for the Texas State University Bobcats, where he has spent most of his time since graduation.
