Another Hooks Hornet has earned the rank of Coach. Former Hooks High School student Tanner Hamilton will bring his knowledge of successful basketball at both the highschool and college levels to the Hornets program this fall. Hamilton attended Hooks Highschool from 2011 to 2013. After graduating from Trinity Christian, Hamilton was awarded a scholarship to play basketball for the Northwestern State Devils in Nacogdoches, TX. After a successful first year, Hamiltryouts, ton found himself at Henderson State University where he was a major contributor on the Reddie Basketball Team until his graduation.
“I think what I can add to this program is experience”, said Hamiton. “I like positionless guys when it comes to basketball.”
“That’s kind of what I looked at myself as when I played, I could play inside and outside and that’s kind of what I want to coach a lot of these guys to learn”, Hamilton explained.
