Bowie’s Best Athlete of the Week

This week’s Bowie’s Best Athlete of the Week is Steven Parker of New Boston, Texas.

Steven, 54, has been a part of the Bowie’s Best Special Olympics team since 2004 where he participates in the 50 meter walk and the soft-ball throw in the spring track and field events and plays outfield for the softball team in the fall.

Born in California, Steven moved to Texas as a child. He loves everything Marvel, reading books, listening to showtunes and Elvis, watching old movies, going to the Perot Theater, dancing and giving hugs. And his fam- says he never meets a stranger.
