The New Boston Lions scored three times in their half of the 1st inning and that was all they would need as they coasted to a 12-1 win over the Paul Pewitt Brahmas on Friday. The Lions got yet another stellar pitching performance from hurler Connor Bobbitt, who allowed just one run on four hits and struck out seven in his four-plus innings of work on the mound.
At the plate, Eli Barrett and Xavier Rowden were the big guns with the bat on the day as Barrett went 1-for-2 with three RBI’s in the game and Rowden drove in a pair of runs, including his RBI double in the 1st inning. Will Erwin, Gabriel Glass and Kaden Hall also each added an RBI in the win.
The DeKalb Bears also gave the Brahmas a blackeye last week with their 15-7 win over the Brahmas last Tuesday.
