The DeKalb Lady Bears continued on their hotstreak and spotless season on Saturday as the wrapped up the Linden-Kildare tournament with an 8-3 win, taking their season mark to a perfect 10-0 as district play begins this week.
On Saturday, the two squads had battled to a 3-3 tie going into the 5th when Talisha Ingram put the Lady Bears on top for good with a pair of RBI’s and the Lady Bears took it from there to notch the win.
At the plate, the Lady Bears totaled eight hits in the game, including multi-hit performances from Kailyn Bett and Mallory Obenosky. Obenosky was 3-for-3 in the game and along with Ingram, Anijah Gray and Jaylynn Hayden each had a pair of runs batted in.
