Despite having a playoff berth already assured, the goal for the James Bowie Pirates aren’t merely getting in. The Pirates hope to ride momentum to a possible shared district title and a deep playoff run.
To that end, the Pirates hit the road to take on Harts Bluff, who needed to beat the Pirates and have Detroit upset Rivercrest the same night to keep their own playoff hopes alive.
The Bulldogs were game opponents, taking the lead after the first quarter, but James Bowie’s height advantage proved to make the difference as the Pirates picked up a 56-41 win over Harts Bluff.
