The Tribune welcomes our newest reporter, Heather Russell. Heather has been on the ground the last couple of weeks writing stories and covering events for the Tribune and we thought it was time to introduce her to all of you. Heather replaces former reporter Allyson Pebsworth who resigned to pursue a career in her degree field as Health Educator for the Paris Lamar County Health District.

Heather recently moved back home to Bowie County after living for 13 years in the Naples area.  She is a 1997 graduate of DeKalb High School, and has spent the last 5 years working in home health. She and her two sons, J.D. and Jack, are members of Tapp Memorial Methodist Church.

Heather says she is extremely excited to begin this new chapter as part of the Tribune family.

Tribune publisher Kenny Mitchell states, "We are very happy to have Heather join us here at the Tribune and she has already done some great work here. She covered last week's local elections and the controversial issue of liquor sales in Maud, and offered a broad range of perspective on each of those hot topic stories.  She is a hometown girl and knows a lot of the same folks you do, so I am confident that she will do well as she works alongside the rest of us to bring you the best in community news."
