Local teachers honored for their efforts in the classroom

The Vyve Teacher of the Month is presented to teachers who have proven to be champions of the classroom and stewards of their community through their teaching, mentoring and leadership.
New Boston’s Oakview Primary School Kindergarten Teacher Anna Edmonds was named Vyve Teacher of the Month for her outstanding dedication to her students, school and community for the month of May.
Down the road in DeKalb, DeKalb Elementary School Fourth Grade Writing Teacher Erin Pipes was chosen to receive the Vyve Teacher of the Month award for May 2017.
In Hooks, the honor was presented to Hooks High School Teacher Kassie Loe and in Maud, Elementary School Second Grade Language Arts Teacher Ashlley Carlow was chosen as the May recipient.
 “Our communities are very important to us, and nothing ties a community together like its schools,” said Diane Quennoz, Vyve SVP, Marketing and Customer Experience. “So we are thrilled to recognize outstanding teachers like these who go above and beyond to make a real difference in our students’ lives.”
