New Boston ISD to see new board after election tonight

Gipson and Sartin edge opponents in Maud

In tonight’s New Boston ISD School Board election, incumbent Robb Carr has held on to his seat, but longtime Board member Lynn Davis has been narrowly upset by Eddie Williams.

The final results have Carr with 277 in early voting and 151 today for a total of 428. Williams received 143 votes in early voting and 162 today for a total of 305, edging out Davis by six votes. Davis received 170 in early voting and 129 votes today.

Also, results from Maud show David "Gap" Gipson and Boyd Sartin winning seats on the Maud ISD Board.
