On Monday, June 11, 2018 at approximately 3:15 p.m., officers with the New Boston Police Department were called to 102 Meadow Drive to investigate a death.  DPS officers found John Markus Littleton dead in his home when they attempted to serve warrants issued for Littleton for sexual assault of a child.

According to court records, Littleton, 71, was arrested in April for two counts of sexual assault of a child, the victims being 13-15 years old at the time of the alleged assaults.  Littleton appeared before 202nd District Judge John Tidwell on May 21, 2018 for a pre-trial hearing and was, at that time, ordered by Judge Tidwell to wear a GPS monitoring system and not to leave the county.  Littleton was scheduled to return to court on June 18.

No details of the nature of Littleton’s death are being released at this time, pending further investigation.
