JEAN DILLARD

Jean Dillard, age 79 of New Boston, Texas passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018 at a local nursing facility.  Mrs. Dillard was born September 2, 1938 in New Boston, Texas.  She was retired from the Bowie County Clerks office,  a member of the New Boston Eastern Star, the Soroptimist Club of Texarkana and is preceded in death by her husband, Loyd Dillard and sister LouAnn Minuskin.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda and Lanny Pinkham, Regina and Ronald Holligsworth, one son, Michael  Dillard all of New Boston, Texas, one brother, Sonny McIntyre of Little Rock, Arkansas, two sisters, Audrey Anglin of New Boston, Texas, Joyce Collip of Houston, Texas, four grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends.

JERRY JOE CRAWFORD

Jerry Joe Crawford of Simms, Texas passed away Thursday, April 26, 2018 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. He was 76.

Jerry was born October 26, 1941 in Simms, Texas to George Franklin and Oma Barron Crawford. He was a veteran of the United States Army where he served as a mechanic and a member of the American Legion Post 488. He had previously worked construction for both J. W. Payne and the Texas Highway Department. Jerry enjoyed playing cards and achieved fourth place in the World Series of Poker.

DARRIEL TIDWELL

Darriel Tidwell, of Kilgore, Texas, passed away Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at a Longview, Texas hospital. He was 78.
Darriel was born June 2, 1939, in De Kalb, Texas to Cletus and Ottileen Barnes Tidwell. He was self employed in the Timber Industry, having owned and operated several successful saw mills. Darriel was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Kilgore and was also an avid horseman who helped train his youngest daughter, Mary, to be an award winning barrel racer. 
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Jean Tidwell; one granddaughter, Carrie Miller; and one great granddaughter, Mattie Knight.

RITA SUE GILL

Rita Sue Obenoskey Gill, of De Kalb, Texas, passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. She was 48.
Rita was born December 22, 1969, in Naples, Texas and had lived in the De Kalb area most of her life.  She was a Homemaker, a Baptist and loved working cattle, hunting and fishing.
She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Melissa Granberry Yount and Dustin Yount of New Boston, Texas; her mother, Sue Martinez of De Kalb, Texas; four grandchildren, Hannah, Zack, Ally and Kynli; and numerous other family members and friends.
Memorial services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Bates Family Funeral Home with Robby Bates officiating.

SARAH ANN COOPER

Sarah Cooper, age 76 of New Boston, Texas passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at her residence.  Mrs. Cooper was born, February 9, 1941 in Las Vegas, Nevada.  She was retired and was preceded in death by her husband Roy Cooper and one daughter, Tammy Sorrell.
 Survivors include two daughters and sons in law, Teresa and Anthony Navarro of Watsonville, California,  Sarah and John Daigrepont of New Boston, Texas, five grand daughters, Leslie Sorrell Hadwin of Haughton, Louisiana, Kristin Higginbotham Sledge of Conway, Arkansas, Maegan Daigrepont of Texarkana, Texas, Nicole Sorrell Padgett of Bossier City, Louisiana, Kaelie Daigrepont of New Boston, Texas, one sister, Shirley Monks of Wilburton, Oklahoma, one brother R.C. Pogue of Ada, Oklahoma, five great grand children and a number of other friends and relatives.

MARVIN LOUIS GRAY

Marvin Louis Gray was born September 17, 1949 to the late Louis George Gray and Leaster Gray in De Kalb, Texas.  He received his education from the Beaver Dam and Marvin Pynes High School.  
He always kept a bright smile and enjoyed making others laugh. 
He married his childhood sweetheart, Verdell Murry Gray November 12, 1971 in New Boston, Texas and to this union was born one son, Rev. Michael Gerard Gray.  
Marvin was the seventh child of eight, five of which preceded him in death.  Willie M. Gray, Mildred Roberts, Mary Terry, Jimmie Germany and Gerlene Wills.  Marvin was employed by Lone Star Ammunition and Texana Tank Car for 45 years.  
Marvin departed this life on January, 15, 2018 at his home.

RONALD BRUCE AARON

Ronald Bruce Aaron, age 68 of Simms, Texas passed away, Tuesday, January 16, 2018 in a local Nursing facility. Mr. Aaron was born March 28, 1949 in Texarkana, Texas.  He was a retired inspector from Red River Army Depot, a veteran of the US Navy, a member of the Word of Faith Church, Simms Texas where he served as an Elder, was a founding member, and a member of the NRA.  He was preceded in death by one son, Bryan Ronald Aaron.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Aaron of Simms, Texas, two daughters and sons in law, Melissa and Clay Coburn of Texarkana, Arkansas, Robin and Olen Hall of New Boston, Texas, three brothers and sisters in law, Ricky and Belinda Aaron of Highlands Ranch, Colorado, Dr. Brad and Rocky Aaron of Hooks, Texas, Rodney and Kara Aaron of Little Rock, Arkansas, eight grandchildren, Skylar, Makenzie, Silas, Clayton, Nora, Bella, Aiden, Denzil, and a number of other friends and relatives.

JEMILEA D. GOLDEN

Jemilea D. Golden, age 88 of Bloomburg, Texas, formerly of New Boston, Texas passed away Friday, January 5, 2018 in an assisted Living facility.  Mrs. Golden was born March 1, 1929 in Liberty, Texas.  She was retired from Red River Army Depot, member of Maranatha Christian Church and is preceded in death by her husband, John Eason, two sons, Virgil Golden and  David Golden and one sister, Peggy Neiderhoffer. 

Survivors include one son and two daughters in laws, Robert and Phyliss Golden of Bloomburg, Texas, Beverly Golden of Sweeny, Texas, three daughters and sons in law, Brenda and Wade Sharp of Simms, Texas, Patricia and Butch Myers of Quinland, Texas, Thelma and Don Ruth of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, two sisters, Joyce Wallace of Iota, Louisiana, Wilma Spurlock of Rockwall, Texas, 17 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, and a number of other relatives and friends
