New Boston native and 2022 Miss Texarkana Outstanding Teen Hannah Crook made a big showing recently at the Miss Texas Outstanding Teen competition held in Richardson, Texas June 19-25. Hannah was a top 10 semi-finalist and won a $500 scholarship for her rookie appearance at the prestigious event, which is part of the Miss America Organization.
One of the things you learn in life, especially when you get older and recognize the fact, is that we don’t always get to call the shots. Things happen in our lives despite our best efforts and often things happen that are not on our list of things to do. Our smart phone calendars can be obsolete when life comes calling unexpectedly, and when those things happen, it is how we choose to react that can set the tone for our days ahead.
