Several local students received their FFA Lone Star Degrees at the Texas FFA State Convention held in Fort Worth last week. The Lone Star Degree is the highest degree of membership the State FFA Association can award. New Boston native and 2022 Miss Texarkana Outstanding Teen Hannah Crook made a big showing recently at the Miss Texas Outstanding Teen competition held in Richardson, Texas June 19-25. Hannah was a top 10 semi-finalist and won a $500 scholarship for her rookie appearance at the prestigious event, which is part of the Miss America Organization.
