MATHEW J. CHADWICK

Mathew J. Chadwick, age 66, of New Boston, Texas, passed away on August 19, 2025, at his home. He was born on March 23, 1959, in Okinawa, Japan, to Clarence Chadwick and Alma Rodgers Chadwick. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, and friend.

Mathew proudly served in the United States Air Force, and after his service, he worked for Boeing. He later worked in sales at B Truck and Trailer. He was married to Donna Cockrum in 1981, and they shared 44 wonderful years together. He was of the Baptist faith and had a passion for UFC, NASCAR, and the Dallas Cowboys.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Mathew is survived by his loving wife, Donna Chadwick of Malta, Texas; two daughters, Kristen Shelton and her husband Brett of Malta, Texas, and Kaitlynn Brewer of Texarkana, Texas; one sister, Sherry Anderson of Atlanta, Texas; two brothers, Timothy Chadwick of Little Rock, Arkansas, and Anthony Chadwick of De Kalb, Texas; three grandchildren, Braley Shelton, Rielynn Brewer, and Reed Mathew Shelton; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2025, at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas, with Brother Steve Minter officiating.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 22, 2025, at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
