CARLA MICHELE BROWN

Carla Michele Brown of De Kalb, Texas passed away Saturday, May 13, 2023, at her home. She was 49.

Carla was born April 27, 1974, to James Alter and Claudia Lee Brown. She attended De Kalb ISD. She was a homemaker and was of Baptist faith. Carla was an avid hobbyist in wood working and other crafts. She enjoyed personalizing gifts for her friends and family.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one granddaughter, Harper Elise Lann.

She is survived by her children: one daughter, Jenna Michele Lann of De Kalb, Texas; one son and daughterin- love, Ethan Wright Lann and Sydnie Elise Moon of Texarkana, Arkansas; one sister, Julie Hamilton and brother- in-love Rod Davis of New Boston, Texas; one niece, Brooke Miller and her husband, Bryan Miller of Dekalb, Texas; one granddaughter, Caroline Martin of Haworth, Oklahoma; her partner and special friend, Christopher Walker of New Boston, Texas; and numerous other cousins and friends.

Graveside services will be 2:30 P.M. Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Spring Hill Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas. The family will gather at 114 Ed Jackson Ln., De Kalb, TX 75559.
