GAIL MAY KEMP WALKER

Gail May Kemp Walker of Simms, Texas passed away Friday, January 27, 2023 in Nash, Texas. She was 68.

Gail was born April 6, 1954, in Maud, Texas, to Bogie and Pearl Mae Morgan Kemp. She was a homemaker and a Baptist.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a daughter, Dana Gail Walker.

She is survived by a daughter, Tonya Walker of Texarkana, Texas; five sons and two daughters-in-law, Cody Walker of Simms, Texas, Curt Walker of Simms, Texas, Josh and Tandie Zacarias of De Kalb, Texas, Michael Riddell of Simms, Texas and Mitchell and Karley Hoskins of Simms, Texas; a brother, Carl Kemp of Hooks, Texas; seven grandchildren, Karima Valentine, Kianna Valentine, Tristyn Walker, Brentyn Walker, Wyatt Walker, Casey Snow and Gunner Zacarias; a special sister, Henrietta Mears; a special nephew, Kevin Williams; a special niece, Barbara Roach; special caretakers, Janell Olson and Angiela Tidwell; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services were held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at Wards Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Simms, Texas. Interment followed at Wards Creek Cemetery.

Visitation was held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, January 30, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
