JAMES C. ‘JAMIE’ BARRON

James C. “Jamie” Barron, of Simms, Texas, passed away Friday, May 19, 2023 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital.

He was 53.

Jamie was born February 4, 1970, in Naples, Texas, to Bo and Toni Barron. He was employed as a warehouse manager for SFG Network Co.

He was a member of Rock Creek Baptist Church and also attended Siloam Baptist Church. Jamie achieved an Associate Degree in Funeral Service in his earlier career. He loved and took much pride in his children, grandchildren and family members.

He was preceded in death by an Aunt and Uncle, Lou Ann Karr and Billy Wayne Karr.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Suede and Sydney M. Barron of Simms, Texas; two daughters, Sydney Barron of Texarkana, Texas and Spencer Barron of Texarkana, Texas; his wife and mother of his children, Lisa Barron of New Boston, Texas; his parents, Bo and Toni Barron of Simms, Texas; a brother and sister-in-law, Chad and Lori Barron of West Frankfort, Illinois; a sister and brother-in-law, Ashley and Erik Eaves of Simms, Texas; two grandchildren, Maci and Bennett; three nieces and a nephew, Jaycee, MadyAnn, Ellie and Brayden; a special cousin, Karry Karr; and numerous other dear relatives.

Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at Siloam Baptist Church in Simms, Texas with Rev. Justin King and Rev. Steve Minter officiating. Interment will follow at Sand Hill Cemetery in Simms, Texas.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday, May 23, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
