JEANETTE GARRETT

Hazel Jeanette Garrett, age 78 of New Boston, Texas passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from the comfort of her home surrounded by family. Mrs. Garrett was born on June 24, 1940 to Jesse and Ruby Grider Raney of New Boston, Texas. She retired from the Bowie County Clerk’s Office in 1991, was a member of Christian Fellowship in New Boston and enjoyed sewing, crocheting and cooking. She was also preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Doyle Allen Raney and one sister, Billie Ann Lindsey both of New Boston. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Joyce Garrett, of New Boston, Texas, one daughter and son in law, Jessica and Billy Lewis of New Boston, Texas, two sons and daughters in law, Boyd Wayne and Karen Garrett of DeKalb, Texas, Joyce Clay and Tressa Garrett of New Boston, Texas, Seven grandchildren, B.J. Lewis, Bryan, Garrett and Kendra Crosby, Joyce Mature, Lauren Usrey, Emileigh and Carah Garrett, 8 great grandchildren and a number of other relatives and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Friday, November 30, 2018 in the Bates Rolf Funeral Home Chapel, New Boston, Texas. Interment will follow in Magnolia Cemetery under the direction of Bates Rolf New Boston, Texas. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Thursday, November 29, 2018 at the funeral home.
