Leslie Edward Stevenson, Sr. of Texarkana, Arkansas passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023 at a Texarkana, Texas hospital. He was 84.

Leslie was born August 8, 1938 in Saint Anne, Illinois to James and Alice Faye Haslow Stevenson.

He was a retired mechanic for Red River Army Depot. Leslie was a member of the NRA and enjoyed woodworking and fishing.

He was a member of Malta Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Barbara Meredith Stevenson and Brenda “Dar Dar” Stevenson; two daughters, Alice White and Bobbie Lafayette; four brothers, Dick Stevenson, Tom Stevenson, Slim Stevenson, and Danny Stevenson; one sister and brother-in-law, Etta and Tom Aubertin; and one great grandchild, Christian Stevenson.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Buddy and Lorena Stevenson, Jr. of Texarkana, Arkansas; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Marie Vickery of Kankakee, Illinois and Karen and John Diel of Osceola, Wisconsin; one brother and sister-in-law, Dale and Susan Stevenson of Kankakee, Illinois; thirteen grandchildren, Miles, Kyle, Avery, Josh, Reese, Samantha, Tyler, Jessica, Bubba, John, Michelle, Bethany, and Jesse; several great grandchildren, including one special great grandson, Lil’ Bear; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation carried out under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
