Martha Briggs Campbell, age 69, passed away Sunday, July 12, 2020 at her home.  

She was retired from Red River Army Depot and a Homemaker.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working with stained glass art.  

She is preceded in death by her parents, Thurman “Buddy” And Mattie Briggs and three sisters, Marzella “Bunny” Stewart, Serita Greene, and Lori Beth Briggs.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Jerry Campbell of New Boston, Texas; her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Shelby Campbell of Spring, Texas; her daughter and son-in-law, Kim and Mark James of New Boston, Texas; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Thomas and Billie Briggs of Bogota, Texas, Jimmy Briggs of New Boston, Texas, Johnny and De Lisa Briggs of De Kalb, Texas, and Keith and Connie Briggs of De Kalb, Texas, and Vallara Smith of Alliance Nebraska; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Joe Porter of Texarkana, Texas, Magdalene and Mark McGee of New Boston, Texas, Bobbie Sue and Don Mitchell of Cuba, Missouri, and Sheilia and Mark Oestman of Texarkana, Texas; three grandchildren, Bailey Campbell, Chloe Campbell, and Madalynn James; and numerous other relatives and friends.

A private graveside service will be held Thursday, July 16, 2020 under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas. 
Mrs. Campbell will lie in state Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas. 
Memorials may be made to Christus St. Michael W. Temple Webber Cancer Center, 2602 St. Michael Dr., Texarkana, TX 75503.
