MARVIN BUCHANAN

Marvin Buchanan passed away January 28, 2020, after a lengthy illness.  He loved his God and is happy to be at peace in Heaven with “a great cloud of witnesses.”

Marvin was born September 20, 1930, in Beaver Dam, Texas, to Ervin and Lula Buchanan.

He married Betty Conway Buchanan on October 8, 1950 and celebrated sixty nine years of marriage this past October.

Marvin loved his God, family and country.  He was veteran of the United States Army, retired from Red River Army Depot and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church. His thumbprint was visible on many meaningful organizations.  He enjoyed ranching and spending time and attending events with his “girls”, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marvin is survived by his wife Betty Buchanan; five
daughters and their families: Terrie and Lenny Lucas, Krystal, Todd, Whit and Amy; Robin and Rex Murdock, Kasey, Tiffany and Chint;  Sandy Hoover, Miranda, Kevin, Trent, Ashlynne, Karson and Kanon, Megan, Kelly, Eli and Adalei;  Debbie Hodgson, Allan, Melinda, Zack and Clayton; Lisa and Vern Steinman; and one sister Velma Lewis, and many nieces and nephews.

Private burial was held at Chapelwood Memorial Gardens.

“Well done, good and faithful servant.”
