Mary Ann Tucker, 91, of De Kalb, Texas passed away Thursday, May 2, 2019 at a Dallas, Texas hospital. 

Mary Ann was born April 27, 1928 in Celeste, Texas to Emory Leland and Anna Lucille Young Kirk.  She was a Homemaker and a former Administrative Assistant for Doctor’s Hospital in Shreveport, Louisiana.  She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in De Kalb, Texas where she was involved in the Challengers Sunday School Class.  

She was preceded in death by her parents; one grandson, Miles Perret; and one brother-in-law, Bill Lee. 

She is survived by her husband, Doyle Tucker of De Kalb, Texas; one son and daughter-in-law, Bobby D. and Susie H. Tucker of Baton Rouge, Louisiana; one daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Hank Perret of Lafayette, Louisiana; one sister, Dorothy Kirk Lee of De Kalb, Texas; one brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Gwen Kirk of Hawkins, Texas; seven grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, May 6, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in De Kalb, Texas with Rev. Terry Cashion, Robby Bates and Hank Perret officiating. Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas.

Visitation will be held 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM Monday, May 6, 2019 at First United Methodist Church in De Kalb, Texas.
