Rev. Wilson Sylvester Weed

Rev. Wilson Sylvester Weed, 85, of New Boston, Texas passed away Friday, August 23, 2019 in Granbury, Texas.

Wilson was born May 27, 1934 in Wolfforth, Texas to Otis and Ella Mary Tolliver Weed.  He was a retired Assembly of God Minister, where he served faithfully for sixty-nine years.

He is preceded in death by his wife, Jimmye Lynn Weed and one granddaughter, Heather Nicole Weed. 

He is survived by two sons, Bill Weed of New Boston, Texas and Stephen Weed of Texarkana, Texas; two daughters and one son-in-law, Sharon and Mark Tims of Granbury, Texas and Connie Pritchett of McCamey, Texas; five grandchildren, Clint Weed and his wife, Shelby, Alexandra Weed, Lesley Ross and her husband, Robert, Johnathan Carter and his wife, Elysia, and Kelli Eubank and her fiance’ Tim Dupree; seven grandchildren; and numerous other family members and friends. 
Services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, August 26, 2019 at First Assembly of God Church in Avery, Texas with Rev. Ronnie Bates officiating.  Interment will follow at Pine Springs Cemetery in Oak Grove, Texas under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.  

Visitation will be held 2:00 P.M. to 4:00 P.M. Sunday, August 25, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
