Sammy K. Hamilton, Jr.

Sammy K. Hamilton, Jr. passed away Saturday, March 20, 2021 at his home in De Kalb, Texas.  He was 53.

 

Sammy was born June 1, 1968 in Texarkana Texas and had lived in the De Kalb and New Boston area all of his life.  He was a Licensed Plumber and a Born Again Christian.  

 

He was preceded in death by two children, Baby Hamilton and Nicholas "Nick-Nick" Hamilton; his father, Tony Tatlinger; and his grandparents, Dora and William Auvenshine. 

 

He is survived by his wife, Charlasue Hamilton, De Kalb, Texas; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Nathanael and Savanna Hamilton of Longview, Texas and Evan Hamilton of De Kalb, Texas; one daughter and partner, Kendra Hamilton and Priscilla Leyva of Dallas, Texas; his mother, Judy Tatlinger of New Boston, Texas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Karen and Doug Tate of Avenger, Texas and Sharon and Kevin Driscoll of Wilmington, N.C;  a grandson, Samuel Wayne Hamilton; close family friends, The Shumake Family; and numerous other family members and friends.

   

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday, March 25, 2021 at Woodmen Cemetery Pavilion in De Kalb, Texas with Cade Rich officiating.  Services are under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.

  

Mr. Hamilton will lie in state Wednesday, March 24, 2021 from 9:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M. at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
