STELLA CAROLINE “CAROLYN” SIMS

Stella Caroline “Carolyn” Sims passed from this life on Thursday, March 16th at her home surrounded by loved ones. She fought strong, long, and courageously and is now free of earthly burdens.

Carolyn was a devout Christian with a strong faith in God. She was a devoted wife and mother of 46 years and loved her family more than anything.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Dorothy and Jake Seegers; in-laws, Ralph and Mollie Sims; brother-in-law, Stan Crombie; sister-in-law, Penny Seegers; and brother-in-law, Ralph Sims, Jr.

She is survived by husband, John Paul Sims of New Boston; daughter, Shanna Tutt and Scottie Cowley of New Boston; daughter Brittany and Zachary Jasso of Rockport, Texas; and son, John Jacob “Jake” and Jennifer Sims of De Kalb, Texas. She had five grandchildren, Ashley and her husband, Randy Hastings, Zander Jasso, Keilei Sims, Vallyn Sims, And Denali Sims. She had two great grandchildren, Jordan and Landon Hastings. She is also survived by her sister, Babs Crombie; brother, Bob Seegers; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.

Memorial Services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.

Visitation will be held 2:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
