Wanda Howle Hawkins, 83, of New Boston, Texas passed away Sunday, November 3, 2019 at a De Kalb, Texas care facility.

Wanda was born December 12, 1935 in Quitman, Texas to Fowler and Stessel Ross Howle.  She was a retired Assistant Vice President of the State Bank of De Kalb and a member of the American Business Women’s Association.  Wanda was a member of First Baptist Church in New Boston, Texas.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lamar Hawkins; one sister, Marcine White; three brothers, Billy Howle, Norris Howle, and DeWayne Howle; one stepbrother, Grady Cranfill; and a stepmother, Kate Howle. 

She is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Mitzi and Randy Barrett of New Boston, Texas; two granddaughters and their husbands, Whitney and Brandon Crutcher of Winnsboro, Texas and Erin and Carey Antoon of Little Rock, Arkansas; four great grandchildren, Mack Crutcher, Kyle Crutcher, Barrett Antoon, and Margo Antoon; one brother, Lee Howle; two step sisters, Kathy Ellis and Eva Weems; and numerous other family members and friends.

Services will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas with Dr. Ken Cox officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodmen Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas. 

Visitation will be held 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at Bates Family Funeral Home in De Kalb, Texas.
