Lady Lions, Lady Bears, Lady Pirates all earn wins Friday night

The Lady Lions came out of the locker room roaring loudly Friday night, scoring 21 points in the first quarter, and went on to trounce the visiting Paul Pewitt Lady Brahmas by a final score of 71-29.
The win set the Lady Lions at 3-1 in district as they go into the Christmas break.
The Lady Lion defense stifled the Lady Brahmas the entire game, as the offense poured it on.
High scorer for the night was Maggie Taylor, who found her sweet spot behind the arc, drowning three treys on her way to score 15 points in the game. Three more Lady Lions were in double digits in the game, as Chloe Davis was right behind Taylor with 14 points, including a pair from downtown, Carleigh Reeves scored an even dozen and Tamiya Smith had 10 points.
Also on Friday night, the James Bowie Lady Pirates had a roast of their own as they scorched the host L-K Lady Tigers by a score of 40-8.
Gracie Brown and Sarah Bruce led the way for James Bowie with 8 points apiece. 
In other Friday night action, the Maud Lady Cardinals outscored the Detroits Eagles 10-3 in the final frame to come back and beat the Eagles by a final score of 34-31.
The DeKalb Lady Bears also notched a win over Queen City.
