New Boston & DeKalb The oldest rivalry in Texas ended with the coveted trophy staying in DeKalb. The Bears took a 2 possession lead late in the second quarter and continued into the second half. New Boston was not able to provide offensive stats at the time of publication. For the Lions defense, Connor Bobbitt had 9 tackles, one TFL, a fumble recovery and a defensive touchdown. The DeKalb Bear offense totaled 338 yards. Winky Williams rushed 15 times for 102 yards and one touchdown. Kayden Wherry rushed 5 times for 25 yards and one touchdown, and Kiondre Schlesinger rushed twice for 25 yards and 1 touchdown. Xavier Hawkins was the leading defender for the Bears with 12 tackles. The rivalry game ended with a final score of 30-12. DeKalb improved to 6-1 while New Boston dropped to 2-6.
