New Boston The New Boston Lions were able to get things going in their week 5 matchup vs Redwater. Demetrius McChester rushed 22 times for 182 yards and had one reception for an 8 yard touchdown. Jeremiah Henderson had 7 rushes for 25 yards and three touchdowns. The Lion offense totaled 259 yards. The game ended with a final score of 2914 with the Lions on top. DeKalb The DeKalb Bears had a very productive Homecoming game against Tenaha. The Bear’s offense totaled 462 rushing yards with stellar performances from Kiondre Schlesinger (11 carries for 128 yards and two touchdowns), and Kayden Wherry (9 carries for 124 yards and 2 touchdowns). The Bear’s defense kept the Tenaha offense on their toes after racking up 4 interceptions, one from Conrad Crouch, Mekhi Howard, Koby Spurgeon, and Kayden Wherry. Six Bears managed a tackle for a loss including Homecoming Queen Jessica Rivas. Final score 65-14.
