The 2023-2024 Chapter Officers are President Sawyer Hobson, Vice-President Seth Miller, Secretary Karli Hooks, Treasurer Novaleigh Wilkey, Reporter Caden Hayes, Sentinel Bryce Miller, Student Advisor Eliza Upchurch, Chaplain Makenzie Smith, Historian Elizabeth Hickerson, and Parliamentarian Malarie Zuniga.

Redwater FFA
The 2023 – 2024 school year kicked off with the Redwater FFA Officers attending the State FFA Convention in Dallas, Texas. Students were able to attend workshops and business session where they learned more about how the FFA works. They were also able to spend time as an officer team doing team building exercises.

Veterans Chili Cookoff
The Texarkana Area Chapter of the Vietnam Veterans of America held a chili cookoff fundraiser at the Truman Arnold Student Center at Texarkana College February 16. Local businesses, organizations and veterans competed to find out who had the best chili. The contest was judged by the public. Funds from the cookoff were to help purchase a transport van to drive veterans to appointments at the Veterans Affairs office in Shreveport.

Harvest Texarkana hosted their one-day distribution of emergency food boxes Wednesday at Trail Head Pavilion Park. Junior and senior students from the New Boston High School National Honor Society and Student Council helped distribute boxes into vehicles. A&M-Texarkana Unveils Details of New RRCU Athletics Complex
Officials from Texas A&M University-Texarkana and Red River Credit Union gathered with university students, faculty, staff, and community members to reveal the details of the new RRCU Athletics Complex to be built on the university’s campus near Bringle Lake. The new facility will include baseball and softball fields, indoor and outdoor tennis courts, pickleball courts, and beach volleyball courts, as well as a food court event center, ticket booth, and a sports performance center.
