Farmers Bank donates $10,000 match grant to New Boston Education Foundation
The Farmers Bank & Trust New Boston, Texas, branch, in conjunction with the Farmers Bank Foundation, has donated $10,000 to the New Boston Education Foundation as a matching grant. An additional $11,000 has been donated by private donors over the last six months to the New Boston Education Foundation for a total of $21,000. The funds raised will go toward classroom scholarships to benefit grant requests from New Boston Independent School District teachers and administrators. Typical grant requests vary from $500 to $1,000 and focus on the core curriculum, including math, science, reading, and technology. The New Boston Education Foundation accepts donations online at https://www. nbschools.net/280658_2 or by bringing cash or check donations to the New Boston ISD Admin Office at 201 Rice St, New Boston, TX. “We are truly amazed at the level of support from the New Boston community and the New Boston Education Foundation for helping us reach this goal,” said Brad Moore, Farmers Bank & Trust New Boston Market President. “Farmers Bank & Trust and the Farmers Bank Foundation are committed to making a lasting impact on local education, but we could not have completed this incredible fundraising effort without help from our community partners.
