Destiny Dimensions
Devotion 4: Galatians 6:4 “Let everyone be devoted to fulfill the work God has given them to do with excellence, and their joy will be in doing what’s right and being themselves, and not in being affirmed by others.” (TPT) The happiest people that I have ever been around in my life are those who have found their God-given destiny and completely thrown their life into everything that God has planned for them. Every one of us has God-given gifts, talents and abilities. The Lord has given each and every one of us a wonderful destiny. The thing is we must find out what we are called to do and completely give our life to it.

Sit on a Curb Mission
The woman’s arms wrapped me up. Yes, her smile was familiar. I knew her. I’d first met her many years ago when life was hard. Well, hard for her and sad. Now it appeared she was on the upward swing. Several years back, I’d noticed the bright red coat around someone, a person who sat on a curb near the bridge where the church is held on Saturdays for the homeless community.

Pioneer Days Treasure Hunters
The annual Pioneer Days Treasure Hunt is always a big hit with locals, who find themselves scouring town all week searching for the $1,000.00 grand prize and four $125.00 daily teaser prizes. This year’s hunt was sponsored by Rip England Premier Realty and did not disappoint treasure hunters. Teasers were found at City Hall, the lift station, the sewer plant, and at T&P Trailhead Park. The grand prize was found on a storm drain grate east of City Hall, at the location of the old Ford dealership. This year’s winners are pictured with Rip England Premier Realty staff Clint Ryther, Deanna Allen, LeAnn Potter, and Rip England. Not pictured are Misty Toliver, Lynn Davis, Nick Basso, and Larry Knight. Also not available for photos were teaser winners Dustin Austin and Jeff Skinner.

TC trustees adopt 2022-2024 strategic plan
At Monday’s board meeting, Texarkana College trustees adopted the strategic plan for 2022-2024. The plan is reflective of TC’s mission, core values and beliefs that provide a framework for institutional goals and priorities. TC president, Dr. Jason Smith, said the plan’s strategic goals were selected and curated through a threemonth process that included input from trustees, faculty, staff, and students. “The TC team has identified strategic goals and priorities that position TC for progress and success over the next two years and beyond,” said Smith. “Our institution embodies the core values and beliefs of opportunity, excellence, success, diversity, and community to provide a framework for achieving our mission of advancing our community through attainable higher education and lifelong learning.”
