Destiny Dimensions
Devotion 2: Mark 1:35 “Now in the morning, having risen a long while before daylight, Jesus went out and departed to a solitary place; and there He prayed.” (NKJV) Many years ago, I was seeking the Lord in the secret place. I asked the Lord to give me one scripture that I could hang onto for the rest of my life. The Lord spoke “Mark 1:35” to me. At this time, I did not know this verse off the top of my head, so I went and looked it up. When I read it, I understood why the Lord spoke this particular verse to me. Very early in the morning, before the day had even begun, Jesus Christ would get up to seek the face of His Father. Before anybody got up and started asking Him questions or anyone was pulling on His anointing, He already had his daily time of devotion with God. He made an effort to get up and seek out a quiet spot away from everybody else so that it was just Him and God.

The Gathering Place brings old farmhouse to life
What was once an empty and forsaken home place has now been brought back to life. With the help of the owners, the Marvin Poer family, Tommy and Debbie Caraway have turned the old farm house across the street into a multi-functional “Gathering Place.” “I had the vision many years ago to bring this old house back to life in some form, ‘’ said Debbie Caraway. “We have lived across the street from this house for years and I have always told my husband that this old house has got to have life in it in some capacity,” said Caraway. “Mr. Poer decided that it was time to do something with the place about five years ago and had a vision of what he would like, ‘’ said Caraway. “When he asked my thoughts, I told him I really would like to see the place used, if nothing else, just as a place for the community to come and gather, and that is how this project was started,” she explained.
