ROCHELLE MONETTE BARKSDALE

Rochelle Monette Barksdale passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at her home in De Kalb, Texas. She was 42.

Rochelle was born January 12, 1981 in New Boston, Texas to Billie Ray and Tammie Kaye Barksdale Collins. She was employed by Christus St. Michael in the Medical Records Department. Rochelle was a member of Oak Ridge Baptist Church in De Kalb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Cory Ingram; a grandmother, Dorothy Barksdale; a grandfather, Preston Shaw; and one aunt, Brenda Barksdale.

She is survived by her mother, Tammie Collins of De Kalb, Texas; her father, Billie Collins of Flint, Michigan; two daughters, Kiara Williams of De Kalb, Texas and Talisha Ingram of De Kalb, Texas; one son, Cory Ingram of De Kalb, Texas; two sisters, Jasmine Alexander and Natisha McQueen; one brother, Bryant Barksdale; an uncle, Timothy Barksdale; two aunts, Gwen Bagsby and Marsha Nickerson; her mother-inlaw and father-in-law, Tonja and Earnest Woods; a sister-in-law, Shanna Ingram; a brother-in-law, Eric Ingram; and numerous other aunts, uncles, cousins, family members, and close friends.

Services were held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, January 30, 2023 at the De Kalb High School Gymnasium. Interment followed at Oak Ridge Cemetery in De Kalb, Texas under the direction of Bates Family Funeral Home.
