John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” (NKJV)

Walking in the middle of God’s perfect destiny for your life is one of the greatest feelings that you will ever know and peace will overwhelm your heart. Many people claim to be followers of Jesus, the good Shepherd. But are they really? Jesus said in John 10:47, His sheep hear His voice, and He knows them. When you know somebody you have communication with them. Jesus said that not only do His sheep hear Him but they follow Him as well. If you are a true disciple of Christ, you are one that follows after Him. Wherever His voice leads you, you will go. Many people claim to be believers, but they do not follow the leading of God’s voice. The Lord is going to guide you and lead you through the voice of the Holy Spirit and true believers of God will always follow after His voice.
I love Psalms 23:1, which says, “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.” My favorite part of this verse is where it says, “I shall not want.” We know that God’s plan for us is good. His plan is to give us a future and a hope. We should be so content in the middle of the sound of God’s voice over our life that we do not wander outside the leading of His voice. When we know God’s goodness we will know that our daily provision comes from Him. Psalms 23:2 says, “He makes me to lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside the still water.” God will always prepare a place for you. The green pastures represent fertile soil. God will always place you or plant you in the place where you can flourish. Sometimes it may seem like you’re in a rough spot but you trust that you are growing because you are planted in fertile ground. The Lord will always put you by the still water. He will place you in a place where you can drink from the river of God that never runs dry.
Children of God hear His voice and obey His voice. Sons and daughters of God follow the leading of the Holy Spirit. Many believers will not follow the supernatural voice of God because they have to always make sure it makes sense in the natural. This is where we have to rely on the good Shepherd, knowing that He has our best interest in mind. We must trust that He will guide us and lead us to the right place. Following the Lord with all of our heart will allow us to make daily steps toward our destiny.
