Cardinals shut down Pirates, Lions clinch playoff spot
In a huge district rivalry game, the Maud Cardinals walked away with a big win last night, downing a tough James Bowie Pirates squad 8-2.
Tucker Sanders earned the win on the mound for the Cards, as he held the Pirates to just two runs on six hits and struck out seven. Senior Whitt Rogers took the loss for James Bowie allowing seven runs on three hits while striking out three.
