Texarkana College sees record enrollment in dual credit courses
At today’s board meeting, Texarkana College Trustees heard a report from Dr. Dixon Boyles, Vice President of Instruction, about the success of fall enrollment for TC’s dual credit program. Dr. Boyles said a new funding source available to educationally disadvantaged high school students has enabled students to invest in their futures by earning college- level credentials while still in high school.

Food Drive for Community Kitchen of New Boston
When: September 22 - 1-4 PM Where: American Legion Post 488 Hwy 82, New Boston, TX Accepting food donations for the Community Kitchen. Drop off at the American Legion. Free snow cone with donation. All donations will be delivered to Community Kitchen after 4 PM. Items accepted: all types of food: dry goods, boxed foods, cans, pastas, canned goods, meats (all types, frozen & refrigerated), cheese, refrigerated and frozen foods accepted, butter, vegetables, soup mixes, drink mixes, water bottles, any frozen dinners, single and family size meals, etc. Any and all food donations are greatly appreciated.

NBHS national honor society and band members give back to their classmates and school
New Boston High School National Honor Society members Hope Hudson, Orryn McBee, Akaiya Darville, Hazel Longest, as well as band members Caitlyn Collins, John Green, Wesley Gray, and Kristen Collins spent two hours of their free time renewing the benches outside of the school for their fellow students to continue enjoying.
