Artists of Washington’ to open in September, feature local artists Historic Washington State Park will host an opening reception for the “Artists of Washington” exhibit on Saturday, Sept. 23, at 1:30 p.m. at the park’s 1874 Visitor Information Center, 100 SW Morrison St., Washington. The other day, I spent time on the street with homeless friends, laughing with some, challenging others with their belief in Christ, and talking openly about life and choices. I saw a man hovering under the hood of the not-so-new truck across from the shelter, and it was apparent the truck had seen better days. In the past few days several issues have been raised regarding the governing body of the City of New Boston. I would like to address those as Mayor of this great city. The issues I want to address are the feeling that things are done in backrooms without public knowledge, the rate hike for water and sewer services, the proposed tax rate, and a former city employee still being paid by the city in their position at the 3 Bostons Museum.
