Hooks ISD and the students and staff at Hooks Elementary rang in the Christmas season last Thursday night with their Holiday at the Hive celebration. The special event included pictures with Santa Claus, cookies and hot chocolate and a special Christmas video presented by Hornet TV. Local schools learn about fire safety from firefighters
Schools around the area have been treated to some very special visitors in the last week as fire departments from all around have been working hard to teach young lives about fire safety. Pictured are members of the DeKalb Fire Department as they visited Malta Elementary last week. National Night Out was held last week in New Boston and saw flocks of community memberse out showing their support for our local police forces. Several local school bands have been bringing the noise during competitions. Last week, bands from New Boston, Hooks, Maud and Redwater traveled to Grim Stadium at Texarkana ISD to show off their skills and showcase their craft. Bruce Pardue and everyone else at the Little Country Greenhouse celebrated the Grand Opening of the first year of The Haunted Greenhouse on Saturday. The Haunted Greenhouse adds to the long list of things to do and see at Little Country Greenhouse including fall plants, pumpkins galore, Blue Bell ice cream, toys, and so much more.
