As I am writing this, there are 12 days until Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving. I am always reminded this time of year that we don’t always look for things to be thankful for. Some days we are just plain ungrateful. I know every morning I wake up. I try to get my mindset right. There are days I just don’t feel grateful, but I pray and I start to count my blessings. that the famous Front Street Junction has opened its doors again and is back to filling the hungry belly of folks around Northeast Texas again. I for one am sure glad they did. My friends over there, Ted, Suzanne, Ashley and Tommy, and all of their crew, sure know how to cook up a juicy ribeye and I have been missing mine. Veterans honored for their service at Autumn Winds

Veterans honored for their service at Autumn Winds

Veterans from Autumn Winds Assisted Living Center were celebrated Friday during a Veterans Day ceremony. Seven veterans who live in the facility, including 103-year-old Jesse Linam who served in the Navy during World War II, were honored with a certificate of recognition for their service.
