TWC Awarded $4.6 Million Grant to Expand Reentry Workforce Services
The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is investing in efforts to enhance existing rehabilitation and reentry efforts after receiving a $4.6 million Partners for Reentry Opportunities in Workforce Development (PROWD) Grant. The funding, which comes from the U.S. Department of Labor in partnership with the U.S. Department of Justice, will be used to extend employment services to individuals who are incarcerated or released from federal prisons.

Thanksgiving Thoughts
As I am writing this, there are 12 days until Thanksgiving. I love Thanksgiving. I am always reminded this time of year that we don’t always look for things to be thankful for. Some days we are just plain ungrateful. I know every morning I wake up. I try to get my mindset right. There are days I just don’t feel grateful, but I pray and I start to count my blessings. I try to live each day with a thankful heart. So today I want to show my thankfulness by sharing twelve things I’m thankful for.
