Storms bring minor damage but thousands without power in Bowie County
Severe storms erupted across Texas and several other Plains states over the weekend causing widespread destruction, especially in Nebraska, Kansas and Oklahoma. While Texas was not totally spared from seeing destructive damage, Bowie County by and large escaped the wrath of Mother Friday and saw little damage. A tornado warning Friday night did send residents to local storm shelters, and there were trees down in places, the major issue in Bowie County was power outages.
