Voices of Angels invites the community to embrace the season with a musical journey spanning 800 years of Christmas tradition, with sacred offerings and monastic sounds reimagined in contemporary arrangements from various lands, times and traditions.

OP-ED No place for drug dealers and slum lords
When landlords choose to rent their property to drug dealers in exchange for cash, they are making a short-term financial decision that has long-term negative consequences for the community. This practice not only damages the reputation of the neighborhood, but it also poses significant risks to the safety and well-being of residents.

9-2A announces All-District honorees for 2023
As the 2023 football season has come to an end, many local athletes have earned recognition for their hard work through postseason accolades. What was surely a season to remember in our coverage area produced nail biters, blow outs and stalemates. Trash was talked, rivalries settled, and good games exchanged by all. In 2A, James Bowie Pirates Dylan Braley earned MVP of District 9. Braley led the Pirates in rushing yards and has been a go-to running back throughout his tenure. Junior Kristian Lambert was named Defensive MVP for the district. Lambert returning for another season will surely help the Pirates on the hunt for their third straight district title, the second under Chance Blackburn.

10-3A Div. 2 names All-District nods
In District 10 for 3A Division 2, the District MVP was awarded to both Keyshawn Walls of Hooks and Winky Williams of DeKalb. Both Athletes have had historic runs and their programs and left their mark on gridiron history. Offensive MVP was split between two Hooks Hornets, Sophomore Quarterback Ripken Birdwell and Senior Wide Receiver and Colorado State Commit Jatavious ‘Boogie’ Johnson. Defensive MVP was given to Hooks Senior Logan Baker who has also produced record book stats during his time as a Hornet.
