Hooks ISD celebrates 100th birthday
Hooks ISD celebrated its 100th birthday last Saturday with a special ceremony honoring former graduates. Pictured at right is Ruth Jackson who was a 1947 Hooks High graduate, believed to be the oldest grad in attendance at 95 years old. Jackson read a story to those in attendance that she wrote in 1947 as she reminisced about those days and gave advice to Hooks seniors. The Tribune will have a full story on the event with picture pages in next week’s issue.
