TPWD constituents encouraged to comment on possible 2025-26 regulation changes
Hunters, anglers and other Texas Parks and Wildlife Department constituents have until 5 p.m. on March 26 to register online comments regarding a number proposed regulation changes that will be under consideration when the TPW Commission meets for its annual workshop and regulatory hearing on March 26-27 in Austin. Comments can also be made in person during the March 27 meeting that gets underway a 9 a.m. at the department headquarters.

Anyone who likes a good ol’ fashioned big fish story is sure to love the tale behind the Lady Bird Lunker. There is no mention of forward-facing sonar or other high-tech devices in this deal. Lady Hornets and Lady Bears see championship seasons end
After both earned Bi-District championships in the first round of the state playoffs, the Hooks Lady Hornets and the DeKalb Lady Bears each saw their winning seasons come to an end last week with losses in the second round.

Hooks and Redwater boys enter the postseason
The Hooks Hornets were dominant in district basketball play this season and they entered the Bi-District round of the playoffs on MOnday as the district champion from 143A Div 2 against the runner up from District 13, New Diana.
